Our Team

Bill

On 9/11/01 I was working as a diesel mechanic and was servicing a fire truck. I was notified of the terrorist attack and watched it all live on the news. After that I realized this was something that would soon be forgotten. I designed the first memorial and over the years expanded through 4 trailers as the memorial grew. Now, 22 years later we have a team of 10 volunteers that work hard to keep the memory alive.

When I met my husband, Bill Kroah, almost 9 years ago, he had already been running the 9/11 wall for many years. Both of us have had multiple family members in the military and my husband had went to training to become a firefighter. It has been an honor to help him grow our Memorial to where we are today. We will continue to honor our firefighters, police and military and make sure people never forget 9-11-01 and the effects it has had on our great country.

The Motorcycle Escort coordinators for Memorial 343. Our group will escort our wall to any designated area for the purpose of security and lead. Happily married for 23yrs and we have 2 sons. In our past time, we ride motorcycles. We have been all over Ohio and put around 3-4,000 miles a season on our bike. It is awesome to be a part of such a great team that shows such respect and honor to our men and women in uniform. Lona's father was an Army Sergeant. He helped protect our great country for 31yrs. So being a part of this team holds a special place in our hearts and we are honored to part of our Memorial 343.

I am married and have 6 Children. What I do for Rescue 343 is Transport and driver services. It is a great way to honor those Fallen People and the first responders. And also help honor the Veterans that so greatly deserve it.
